This document reports on a study of microbial water quality on beaches in Barbados from June to August 2019. Sixteen beaches along the south and west coasts were sampled every two weeks to test for the indicator organisms E. coli and Enterococcus faecalis. The south coast beaches had average E. coli levels of 69.4 colonies/100mL and E. faecalis levels of 35.1 colonies/100mL, within EPA standards.
