Salesforce Sharing Model Insights by Avid Reader is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The sharing model determines user access to records they do not own based on role hierarchies, permissions, and sharing rules. Exceptions include private contacts, notes, events, and communities access. Record owners, those above in roles, and those granted full access can delete, manually share, add notes/attachments. Object and user permissions also control record access separately from sharing settings. Account and campaign sharing require additional configuration.
