This study evaluates the relationships between adaptive and maladaptive emotional regulation strategies and their effects on frustration intolerance in a sample of 1066 adults from Argentina. The findings indicate that rumination has the most significant impact on frustration intolerance, while adaptive strategies like acceptance and refocusing may inadvertently promote maladaptive strategies. Positive focusing is identified as the primary strategy to effectively reduce frustration intolerance.
