What is Brief On Compassionate Employment about?

SCCL introduced a dependant employment scheme for the families of employees who died or became medically invalidated while in service, based on the NCWA-II agreement from 1979. The scheme has been reviewed and amended in accordance with a High Court order, with approximately 150 dependants receiving compassionate employment monthly in 2025. Since its inception, a total of 13,055 dependants have been provided employment, with additional financial support extended to families in lieu of employment.
