This document describes a study conducted in Mexico to identify instrumental (masculine) and expressive (feminine) traits that describe Mexican men and women. Focus groups were used to generate a list of 323 adjectives representing these two dimensions. Then 856 participants divided by gender and education level indicated how ideal and typical each trait was for males and females.
