What is Duties and Roles of Medieval Squires about?

Squires served medieval knights and helped prepare them for battle. As squires, boys would clean armor, ready horses, stand guard at night, and assist knights in putting on and removing armor. Not all squires became knights, as some were too old or unable to afford becoming a knight. Those men were called "Arms Patron" and could carry a shield and lance but not receive a coat of arms. Squires learned skills like jousting and swordsmanship to one day potentially become knights themselves.
