This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a new benzimidazole ligand with two heptyl chains and its transition metal complexes with Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II). The molecular structures were determined using X-ray diffraction, revealing five-coordinate distorted square pyramidal geometries, while photophysical and thermal properties were also analyzed.
