This paper investigates the effect of cantilever column flexural stiffness and strength on the displacement behavior of concentrically braced frames (CBFs). Through static pushover analyses of a two-story CBF model, the authors find that: (1) Increasing column flexural stiffness decreases story drift concentration up to a critical stiffness ratio, above which both stories yield simultaneously; (2) Higher column flexural strength also reduces drift concentration; and (3) An empirical equation is proposed to
