1) Datu Odin Sinsuat was formerly called Dinaig and was first led by Datu Bandara. 2) Dinaig was created as a municipality by Executive Order No. 82 in 1947 and the first mayor appointed was Datu Odin Sinsuat. 3) In 1994, the municipality was renamed to Datu Odin Sinsuat in recognition of the good leadership of the first municipal mayor, the late Hon. Datu Odin Sinsuat.
