Additionally, these advances have also led to the exponential growth of medical knowledge, which is now estimated to double every 73 days. 1 With the increase in medical knowledge, as well as growing clinical and regulatory demands, access to current literature is imperative. Herein, we provide a thorough but by no means comprehensive listing of open access literature resources for the practicing dermatologist (Data S1-S5). In addition to these open access options, there are numerous other helpful resources on the American Academy of Dermatology webpage, the American College of Mohs Surgery webpage, YouTube, Quizlet, Anki, and many more. Open access itself is an increasing, albeit controversial, trend around the world. The premise of open access journals is to provide access to published articles without barriers. The field of dermatology was at the forefront of open access journals when the Dermatology Online Journal became the first medical open access journal
