HERIC Inverter: Efficiency and Operation by yasin is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The HERIC inverter topology adds a bypass leg to an H-bridge inverter using two back-to-back IGBTs. This prevents reactive power exchange and isolates the PV module from the grid during zero voltage states, improving efficiency. The HERIC inverter switches two switches at high frequency and one switch at grid frequency. It has advantages of unipolar voltage, higher efficiency up to 97%, and lower EMI. Drawbacks include two extra switches compared to the basic H-bridge. The HERIC and H5 topologies both decou
