This study evaluates the morphological and molecular diversity of Agave tequilana Weber var. Azul and Agave angustifolia Haw. var. Lineño using 49 and 18 accessions respectively. Thirteen morphological traits and RAPD markers were analyzed, revealing significant differences between the two varieties, with A. tequilana showing lower values in most traits. The findings contribute to understanding genetic diversity and can aid in quality control and conservation efforts for these economically important agave
