What is The Fall about?

Having realized that I had fallen in love with a mask, which my ex chose to wear and allow me to see, and the person who he really was, was devastating to me. What may come from his future experiences with another partners, I have to say in ... however, it is sufficient for me to know that he will always remember the truth that I once was.
