The Gun-ob Barrio Council showed concern for providing quality education to children in the area and applied for a barrio school project. The school was initially housed in the local health center but had to close due to lack of space. In 1961, the principal asked the PTA president to find land for a new school building. The following year, new barangio officials were elected who promised to help find land. A woman named Mrs. Cesaria Tumulak donated a lot and a fiscal named Miqueas B. Tumulak lent funds to
