The Second Annual KU Food Drive is taking place throughout the month of October to benefit students at the University of Kansas and those in Douglas County. Blue donation bins will be placed around campus for students to deposit non-perishable food items, which will then be given to the Just Food food bank in Lawrence. Several events are also scheduled this month to raise awareness about hunger, including cooking sessions, documentary screenings, and a discussion with a food justice activist.
