This study examined the effects of a low-sodium diet versus a high-sodium diet on blood pressure in 12 subjects with resistant hypertension. The subjects underwent one-week periods of a low-sodium diet (50 mmol/day) and a high-sodium diet (250 mmol/day), separated by a two-week washout.
