MOVEMENT: Rococo INTERESTING FACTS: Chardin is considered a master of still life painting. Beginning in 1737 he regularly exhibited at the Salon of the Académie des Beaux-Arts. By painting standards, Chardin was not prolific. His paintings only number around 200 total.
