An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of nozzle particle size and sample size on the separation efficiency of a spray chamber unit. Smaller nozzle particle sizes and larger sample sizes resulted in higher separation efficiencies. Nozzle particle sizes of 520 μm and 1000 μm were tested with sample sizes of 300 μm and 600 μm. Smaller nozzle particle sizes produced higher collection efficiencies. However, systematic errors affected the accuracy of the results.
