This study examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on stress and burnout levels among emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in Spain. An online survey of 280 EMTs found that over half perceived moderate stress levels during the pandemic. Regarding burnout, 37% reported moderate emotional exhaustion, 40% reported moderate depersonalization, and 48% reported low personal accomplishment.
