What is ACM SIGGRAPH 2005 Educators program on - SIGGRAPH '05 - The crucial role of animated children's educational games about?

review the attempt by the government to impose educational television on stations with the "Children's Television Act" of 1990. To help ascertain the effectiveness of the Act, I will explore the content of 5 popular shows that are representative of current children's programming. How much television is educational and how much is entertainment? Unfortunately, there are very few educational programs. There are "Sesame Street" and "Mr. Rodgers" (now only re-runs), but most shows hover at the entertainment level. In some cases kids over the age of 4 turn to mainstream commercial programmes and prefer films and series made for adults." [3 R D WORLD SUMMIT ON MEDIA FOR CHILDREN, THESSALONIKI-GREECE 23-26 MARCH 2001].
