This study evaluates the feasibility of producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Brazil using the Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) technology with ethanol as the feedstock. Simulations conducted in Aspen Plus® indicate that biojet fuel could be produced at a cost of US$ 1.86 per kg, which is significantly lower than current prices in the U.S., provided there is a substantial reduction in ethanol prices.
