The City of Aurora is inviting local third graders and community members to contribute handmade ornaments no smaller than 8 inches to decorate the official Christmas tree in the city plaza. Ornaments must be made of weatherproof materials and have 10-12 inch hanging strings. Participants should drop off their ornaments by November 12th in preparation for the tree lighting ceremony on November 24th at 6pm, where the crowning of Miss Merry Christmas and Jack Frost also takes place.
