Stephanie Rapkin was charged with two crimes. For the first crime on June 6th, she allegedly spat on a black teenager who was chanting during a protest near her car. This was charged as a hate crime and disorderly conduct. For the second crime on June 7th, she allegedly kneed a police officer in the groin while being arrested, causing him pain. This was charged as battery to a law enforcement officer. If convicted of the hate crime and disorderly conduct, she faces a maximum $10,000 fine and 1 year in jail.
