About this document

Malaria RDT Quality Assurance in Tanzania by Khoyrotun nisa is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study evaluated the quality assurance of malaria rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) in rural Tanzania by comparing RDT results with microscopy and real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) methods. The findings revealed that RDTs had a higher positivity rate than both microscopy and qPCR, but there was poor correlation between the results, indicating limited agreement among the diagnostic methods. Consequently, neither microscopy nor qPCR proved to be effective QA options for RDTs in field conditions.
