This paper proposes a hybrid intrusion detection system called AS-IDS that combines anomaly and signature-based detection to identify known and unknown attacks in IoT networks. AS-IDS first filters traffic at the IoT gateway and then uses a lightweight neural network and deep Q-learning to classify attacks in the signature and anomaly-based subsystems respectively.
