What is Lingual Frenotomy about?

This study examined the effects of lingual frenotomy (tongue-tie release surgery) on the resting position of the tongue and lips in 334 infants diagnosed with ankyloglossia. The infants were divided into an experimental group that received lingual frenotomy and a control group that did not. Both groups were assessed before and after for their tongue and lip position at rest. The results showed significant differences between the groups after assessment, with the experimental group better maintaining tongue
