WC-28 Theophylline assay by immunoturbidimetry: Rate enhancement through polymer supplementation by G. Turcotte; L. Nadeau is a Medicine article available to read on EtoBox.

What is WC-28 Theophylline assay by immunoturbidimetry: Rate enhancement through polymer supplementation about?

metabolites in comparison to that of the parent compound (CSA) in vitro by a one-way mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR). We found that mean CSA concentrations of 18 ng/mL (n=6) resulted in 50% inhibition of the MLR. In contrast, mean M-17 and M-18 concentrations of approximately 166 ng/mL (n=5) were required for similar inhibition. It appears from this study that individual cyclosporine metabolites are less effective in immunosuppression than the parent compound; however the longer half-life of M-17 could allow for the accumulation of this metabolite in transplant patients, possibly contributing to the immunosuppression and/or toxic effects of the drug.
