About this document

Noninvasive Ventilation Reduces Hypoxemia by ericrulli is a document available to read on EtoBox.

A trial evaluated the effectiveness of preoxygenation with noninvasive ventilation compared to an oxygen mask in reducing hypoxemia during emergency intubation among 1301 critically ill adults. Results showed that noninvasive ventilation significantly lowered the incidence of hypoxemia and cardiac arrest. The study concluded that noninvasive ventilation is more effective than an oxygen mask for preoxygenation in this patient population.
