Collocation with piecewise polynomial functions is used to solve a general nonlinear system of first order differential equations subject to multi-point linear constraints. Using (vector) piecewise polynomial functions of degree d, convergence of order O(h d+l) is achieved. Moreover, Richardson's extrapolation can be applied to the solution values at mesh points for equal spacing. A numerical example which demonstrates these features is given.
