What is Boolean Difference Method in Circuit Testing about?
The Boolean difference method is used to test combinational circuits. It derives two Boolean expressions: one for the normal fault-free behavior and one for behavior under a fault condition. These are exclusive-ORed; if the result is 1, a fault is indicated. The Boolean difference of a logic function F(X) with respect to an input i is defined. Properties of the Boolean difference are described. An example calculates the Boolean difference with respect to x3 for a sample circuit.
