About this document

Life and Legacy of St. Louise de Marillac by Red Ranger of FLAMES is a document available to read on EtoBox.

St. Louise de Marillac was born in Paris on August 12, 1591, and faced early hardships, including being orphaned and living in a boarding house for girls. She eventually married Antoine Le Gras and had a son, but her desire to serve God led her to collaborate with St. Vincent de Paul, resulting in the establishment of the Daughters of Charity. Louise was canonized in 1934 and is celebrated as the patron saint of Christian social workers.
