What is Overview of Buddhist Stupa Architecture about?

Stupas originated as burial mounds and came to house Buddhist relics. The main elements of Nepali stupas are the base, dome, drum, and finial. Stupas like Swayambhu, Dhando Chaitya, and Boudhanath represent some of the earliest and most significant stupas in Nepal. They have evolved over time but maintain symbolic elements connecting them to Buddhist cosmology.
