This study evaluates the effectiveness of preoperative paravertebral block in reducing chronic pain after breast cancer surgery. In a randomized trial involving 380 women, results showed no significant difference in chronic pain incidence between the paravertebral block and control groups at 3, 6, and 12 months post-surgery.
