What is Instructions to Authors about?

Publications in Physics Letters A are intended as brief reports of significant, original and timely research results in all fields of Physics, excluding Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics, which warrant rapid publication. Prospective authors are requested to give a short statement of the need for rapid communication in the cover letter accompanying the submission of the manuscript. In considering a manuscript for publication, particular attention will be given to: (a) the originality of the research to be published; (b) the desirability of speedy publication; (c) the clarity of the presentation and the consistency of the conclusions derived. ## Submission of papers Authors can also submit their articles electronically via the "Author Gateway" page of this journal (http://authors.elsevier.com/).
