What is Surgical Trainees and the Impostor Phenomenon about?

I wish to commend Dr LD Britt for supporting the Hippocratic Oath as currently stated. 1 The essentials have remained relevant and encompassing for millennia and are indeed foundational to the writings of the "Father of Surgery," Guy de Chauliac, in the 1300s. 2 These dicta continue to resonate in the Fellowship Pledge, a remarkable work by the American College of Surgeons founders in 1913. 3,4 Our 21st century parlance notwithstanding, the aforementioned Oaths and Pledges and the US Constitution are immutable in essence. Hopefully all will remain as such. In closing, I also wish to acknowledge the tremendous efforts already initiated by the American College of Surgeons in the furtherance of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our House of Surgery. Yes, there is still much to be accomplished, and I pledge to continue my support in these endeavors.
