is still a large inter-observer variation. Delineation errors have a large impact on the dose delivered because they affect each fraction. Materials/Methods: At the NKI-AVL we initiated a quality assurance procedure on target delineation of the gross tumor volume (GTV) or clinical target volume (CTV) for all patients treated with radical intent at the Department of Radiation Oncology. For each of these patients the treating physician delineated the target volumes on matched FDG-PET/CT/MRI scans. These delineations were inspected and altered (if necessary) during a multi-disciplinary meeting with about 5-7 radiation oncologists (all specialized in the same tumor type) and a dedicated radiologist. During these multi-disciplinary meetings the treating physician clarified the patient's characteristics and diagnostic work-up and the radiologist demonstrated the tumor extensions as seen on the diagnostic examinations (CT scan/FDG-PET-CT scan/MRI). Then the delineated target volumes were inspected slice per slice together with the corresponding diagnostic images. These meetings were organized four times per week.
