About this document

History and Rules of Chinese Checkers by Rosamae Golendez is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Chinese checkers was invented in Germany in 1892 as a variation of the American game Halma. It was later marketed in the US as "Chinese checkers" for marketing purposes despite having no origins in China. The game helps develop important life skills like problem solving, strategy, flexibility and dealing with consequences. To win, a player must be the first to move all their colored marbles across the hexagram-shaped board to the opposite point using single or jumping moves.
