Tree-kangaroos are marsupials from the genus Dendrolagus, primarily found in the tropical rainforests of New Guinea and northeastern Queensland, Australia. They are adapted for life in trees and are the only true arboreal macropods, but most species are threatened due to hunting and habitat destruction. The genus includes around 14 species, with Matschie’s tree-kangaroo being one notable example.
