About this document
Acetone Gas Diffusion Coefficient Study by Brennie Goh is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document describes an experiment to determine the gas diffusion coefficient of acetone. The experiment uses the Winkelmann method, where acetone is allowed to evaporate in a vertical glass tube maintained at a steady temperature. The evaporation rate is monitored and used to calculate the diffusivity based on concentration gradients. Results show the diffusivity of acetone is determined to be 1.5097 x 10-5 m2/s. Process calculations are provided to support the analysis.
