What is Vitamin D Levels and Newborn TTN Association about?

This study investigates the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) in infants. Results indicate that infants with TTN have significantly lower levels of 25(OH)D3 compared to healthy controls, suggesting a potential association between vitamin D deficiency and increased risk of TTN. However, vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy did not appear to affect the serum levels of newborns or the severity of TTN.
