Orthodontic Emergencies During COVID-19 by b4qvpg8582 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigated orthodontic emergencies during the COVID-19 pandemic, comparing clear aligners (CA) and fixed self-ligating appliances (FS) among 428 patients. Results showed that patients with FS experienced a higher incidence of emergencies, particularly mucosal injuries and appliance detachments, while CA users had significantly lower emergency rates. The findings suggest that CA may reduce orthodontic-related emergencies, highlighting the need for improved patient education on appliance care.
