On July 10, 2006, a F-27 Fokker Friendship-200 aircraft, registration No. AP-BAL, crashed near Multan shortly after takeoff, resulting in the deaths of all 45 individuals on board. The investigation revealed that the aircraft was in one piece at the crash site, with the left engine operational and the right engine non-functional at the time of impact. The report concluded that there was no evidence of sabotage or in-flight fire, and the crash was attributed to engine failure.
