The Southwest Monsoon has advanced into parts of the south Bay of Bengal, Nicobar Islands, and Andaman Sea. Conditions are favorable for further advance into more parts of these regions over the next 3-4 days. Rainfall occurred over Nicobar Islands in the last 24 hours as southwesterly winds strengthened and deepened clouds persisted over the southern parts of the Bay of Bengal and Nicobar Islands.
