What is Crystal Structure of 2-Chloro Acetamide about?
The title compound crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The phenyl ring is oriented at angles of 2.5(1) and 6.2(1)° with respect to the thiazole ring in the two molecules. In the crystal, molecules are linked via C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds forming chains along [100]. The chains are linked by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, also forming chains along [100]. The compound was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined to confirm the molecular structure and connectivity.
