What is Taut about?

Bruno Taut built the Glass House pavilion for the 1914 Cologne Werkbund Exhibition to showcase new glass construction materials. The structure was dedicated to Paul Scheerbart, an evangelist for glass architecture who envisioned "kaleidoscope-architecture". At the end of the Glass House tour, visitors encountered a large rear-projection kaleidoscope creating constantly changing abstract images on a milky glass screen, fulfilling Scheerbart
