About this document

Forssman Antigen: Immune Response Insights by Janine Lorraine Britanico is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Forssman antigen is a heterogenous antigen found in various unrelated species that induces the production of antibodies against sheep red blood cells. It occurs mainly in organs but not red blood cells in some species like guinea pigs and horses. In other species like sheep, it is sometimes only found in red blood cells. Rarely, it can be found in both organs and red blood cells, as seen in chickens.
