This study investigated the effects of short-term androgenic-anabolic steroid (AAS) use on cardiac structure and function in experienced male strength athletes. Two studies were conducted - one where athletes self-administered AAS for up to 16 weeks, and another where athletes were randomly assigned to receive nandrolone decanoate or placebo for 8 weeks.
