This study investigates the effects of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) particles on the microstructural, wear, and corrosion properties of Al-15%Mg2Si hybrid composites for marine applications. The addition of YSZ resulted in reduced size and improved hardness of Mg2Si particles, with the Al-15%Mg2Si-9%YSZ composite exhibiting the best wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
