The Javanese bull is an endangered species found in Java and Bali. They inhabit dense forests and grasslands near rivers and swamps. Males are large black bulls that can reach 1.55 meters tall and weigh up to 900kg, with two pointed horns. Females are smaller with buff coloring and curved horns. While leopards and tigers prey on them, humans have illegally hunted Javanese bulls for domestication, reducing their numbers.
