What is Kancha Gachibowli Forest Ecology Report about?

The Kancha Gachibowli Forest (KGF) is a vital ecological area in Hyderabad, rich in biodiversity, including unique species like the endemic Hyderabad Tree-trunk Spider. It plays a crucial role in hydrological security, supporting clean freshwater lakes that sustain numerous bird species and prevent flooding in surrounding areas. The forest is largely self-sustaining and serves as an essential green space for the local community and wildlife, despite facing threats from urban development.
